100% Vegan Brightening Blemish Busting Mask

Do your kids ever do this to you? At the grocery store, they ask for bananas. You say no because they never eat the bananas. They beg harder. Then, a week goes by and you’ve got this situation

There is something you can do with those old bananas; PUT THEM ON YOUR FACE!! Bananas are loaded with Vitamin A (Retinol anyone?) and there are tons of ways to use bananas in your beauty routine.

This recipe calls for 1 tablespoon of honey, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 2 Tablespoons of mashed bananas. Apply to your face for 20-30 minuets.

WARNING: People with sensitive skin may want to apply to the inner elbow first, like a patch test, before applying Cinnamon to the face.

I applied it to my face using my trusty old foundation brush dampened slightly. I found the consistency to be a little more watery than I expected. Also, next time I make this, I’ll mash my bananas a bit more.

As far as smell…well…It smells like Christmas on my face.

As it dries, I feel my face getting a firm texture like a clay mask as it dries.

The flies in the garden love me!!

Tip 1: Keep you hair away from your face.

Tip 2: Wear your ugly shirt when doing this mask. I dripped a few times on my nightgown.
